Allendale Horticultural and Industrial Show

At this year's Horticultural and Industrial Show on Saturday 24th August, there will special classes to mark Allendale Co-op's 150th Anniversary.

Classes Open to All

  1. Bread, any variety to be shaped into the Co-op Wheatsheaf
    (Not to be made using a bread maker)
  2. Cake iced and decorated to celebrate the Co-op’s 150th Anniversary
  3. A 150th Anniversary Card, any material, celebrating the Co-op
  4. A floral display celebrating the Co-op’s 150th Anniversary
  5. An original poem celebrating the Co-op to fit an A5 piece of paper
    Entry to the Co-op by Saturday 17th August (Entry to this class is free)
Show Medal for Juniors
Commemorative Anniversary Medal

Junior Classes – Age Groups 4 and under, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16

  • A paper plate decorated to celebrate the Co-op’s 150th Anniversary
  • A model in Lego representing the Co-op
  • Junk model of the Co-op’s delivery vehicle of the future
    (not larger than a 30cm cube)

Usual entrance fees apply except for the Poetry Class (which is free to enter)

Prizes for all classes 1st - £4, 2nd - £3, - 3rd - £2
Except Cake/Wheat Sheaf – 1st - £10, 2nd - £7, 3rd - £4

A Trophy for the winner of the poetry competition
All exhibitors in the Junior Classes will receive a commemorative Co-op Anniversary Medal
