Allendale Co-op: the early years

Curtain House, the Shoulder of Mutton and sugar at half-a-penny a pound … come and hear about the Allendale Co-operative Society from 1874 to 1939.

February’s presentation, led by Jared Dunn, will focus on the first seventy years of the store, its staff, premises and its activities in the dale until the outbreak of WW2. This event delves deeper into the visual timeline presented at last year’s Co-op Gala day.
