Free Deliveries to Your Door

Shopping that’s been self-selected in the shop is delivered in the town every afternoon after 4pm.

Orders that have been placed by e-mail or telephone are delivered on the following days

  • Wednesdays – Whitfield, Ninebanks and Carrshield
  • Thursday – Allenheads
  • Friday – Allendale and Catton

Scarecrow Dave

St Cuthbert’s Church held a Scarecrow competition in 2015 to raise funds for their boiler. Jackie Charlton made Scarecrow Dave as the Co-op’s entry. An excellent likeness, the scarecrow was seen out and about making deliveries with actual Dave during the contest. Read more about the scarecrow festival.

Where’s Dave

Dave is a keen photographer who often takes pictures of the views when out on deliveries.

We decided to share those on Facebook for people to guess where they had been taken.

“Where’s Dave?” is now a very nearly regular feature and extremely popular with our followers.
