As part of World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September
staff of Allendale Co-op are taking part in the annual Inside Out campaign.
Kirstin Robinson, Company Secretary at Allendale Co-op explained:
On World Suicide Prevention Day some of us are wearing an item of clothing inside out to help spark conversations and highlight the importance of talking – bringing what’s on the inside, out. By taking part in the Inside Out campaign we aim to spread the message and help to prevent suicide.

The Samaritans are sharing one important message this World Suicide Prevention Day,: If you think someone might be suicidal, take action, interrupt their thoughts and show them you care.
Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland dies by suicide* and 1 in 4 of us has had suicidal thoughts**.
